Atlantic Beach, FL (04/06/17) – Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty is pleased to welcome John Brocato to the Beaches/Intracoastal West and Southside office.

                John, a founding member of Delmarva Wings, Inc., has many years of experience in developing and managing retail/restaurant/entertainment properties and is currently affiliated with Hooters of America, LLC(HOA). Associated with the Hooters franchise system since its early inception, John worked on leasing arrangements between HOA and the former Rouse Company projects in Florida, Georgia, Missouri, Colorado, and Maryland. These early real estate transactions in prominent tourist destinations were a catalyst for HOA expansion to over 420 locations in 44 states and 26 countries.

                Recently, John completed the mandated Real Estate Sales Associate Licensing Course and received his Sales Associate in Real Estate license.                 John was also a founding member of Caribbee Associates, LLC, a Florida-based company that owned and operated the Neptune Beach location of Caribbee Key. During this time, John’s family grew to include a son and a daughter. For many years John’s children attended the DePaul School of Northeast Florida, and John became a member of their Board of Directors. He continues serving in that capacity today.

Jacksonville, FL (04/05/17) – Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty is pleased to welcome Bernadette Barrera to the Mandarin/St. Johns office.

Prior to becoming a Realtor, Bernadette was the volunteer coordinator for the United Services Organization (USO) in Dubai, as well as a travel consultant for the US Military with Carlson Wagonlit Sato Travel. When asked about these experiences, Bernadette states, “As a travel consultant for our military, for over seventeen years, I worked directly with service men and women booking their official travel. I was their trusted advisor the ensure they received their travel entitlements and that their trip went smoothly. Working for the USO was gratifying and rewarding for me. I worked with a wonderful group of volunteers who were proud of our military, and proud that we can help them connect with family and friends back home.”

Bernadette has called northeast and central Florida her home for the last fifteen years – her parents retired here in 2002 and Bernadette and her family established their permanent address here while her husband was in the military. Having moved six times with her soldier has given Bernadette a personal understanding of what other military families go through, and she is eager to continue helping them as a Realtor at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty.

Although new to real estate as a Realtor, Bernadette is intimately familiar with buying and selling homes as a client. Her husband and she have purchased and sold four homes while in the military. When we moved, we always looked for the best schools for our children, and this is the knowledge that I am excited to share with my clients as their Realtor.”
