Rex is a Jacksonville native and served in the United States Army for nine years. During this time, Rex was stationed in Germany and Panama, and he is a combat veteran of the first Gulf War, Desert Storm. While in the Army, Rex was a member of the Army’s wrestling team and played semi-professional football on a German-American Team.
After the military, and for the past eighteen years, Rex has served as a Police Officer in Northeast Florida. During this time, Rex served in a variety of positions within the police force, including Patrol, SWAT, Field Training Officer, Detective, Traffic Homicide Investigator, Traffic Officer, and Honor Guard.
Throughout all of Rex’s careers, his passion for helping others, and helping people resolve issues they’re having has always driven him. When Rex began looking outside of law enforcement for a career transition, he was immediately drawn to real estate, where he would still be in a position to help people. Rex states, “I remember my experience with our real estate agent when we purchased our home, which was such a pleasant one! Our agent made herself available to us and was very detailed and thorough when it came to explaining paperwork. I knew someday I would pursue real estate, where I will strive to make each experience with my clients a positive and professional one!”
Rex lives in the Bartram area with his wife Jennifer – who is the love of his life – and their two children, Andrew (12) and Leah (9); they also have two dogs, Pistol, a Golden Retriever, and Zoey, a Shi-Tzu. Rex is a Christian, first and foremost, and believes that without God, nothing is possible. When not working, Rex loves spending time with his family and friends, no matter where it is!
